Both yesterday and today the Great Crested Grebe chick was again constantlysearching out his parents. At one point they seemed to have some sort oftruce, as all three of them dozed very near eachother under an Alder tree. Also, on both days the Grey Heron has been on his usual position on theisland. Yesterday, he spent some time hunched up with his back to thewater! Today there were two pairs of Egyptian Geese on the island (I say "pairs"because they stayed close together)- and some squawking and flapping betweenthem among the trees...two of them then flew off onto the nearby grass.
