Black Headed Gull: Winter Visitor (a few remain all year)

Black Headed Gulls are very common throughout the Borough in winter when they flock in most of the parks, and fields in the Borough. There may be several thousand present in winter, and a few non breeding birds remain throughout.

Winter Populations: (based on the peak count at each site during Jan-March)
  • 2010: 4508 birds
