Redwing: Winter Visitor

Redwings arrive in late September or October, and stay until March, and are present in most of the parks in the borough. It would not be possible to list all the sightings, therefore, the below are the maximum number noted at each site between Jan & March.

Winter populations:

• 2010: 1,120 birds (based on the peak count at each location during Jan-March)

Arrival Times:

• 2010: September 29th - 7 seen on Wanstead Flats
