Goldcrest: Resident Breeding

Goldcrests are resident, and breed in many of the parks and woodland areas in the borough. Their numbers are swelled in the winter when they are much more visible, although the prolonged freeze in early 2010 has had a bad effect on their numbers and at the beginning of the year less than 20 were present in the borough, but numbers picked up hugely after the autumn fall.
