RINGED PLOVER

Ringed Plover: Rare Passage Migrant

Ringed Plovers are occasionally seen on migration, especially around Fairlop Waters.

Latest Sightings:
  • 29th April 2010, 2 at Fairlop Gravel Works
  • 4th September 2009, 3 at Fairlop Gravel Works
  • 29th April-21st May 2004, 2 at Fairlop Waters


Historical Information:

  • Ringed Plovers are reported as having been present (at least five times) at Hainault Forest pre 2003 by the late Mr. Mike Dennis
