Long Tailed Tit: Resident Breeding

Long Tailed Tits are common in all the parks and woodland areas in the borough, numbers swell during the winter. Listing all the sighings would be impossible.

2003 Breeding Stats:

  • Hainualt Forest, 30 Pairs

2001 Breeding Stats:

  • Wanstead Park, 3 pairs

1997 Breeding Stats:

  • In the 1997 edition of Dominic Mitchells 'where to watch birds in the London area' it states breeding Long Tailed Tits were 'widespread in Hainault Forest
