BLUE TIT

Blue Tit, nest prospecting in a Woodford Green garden - Jan 2010 (MBraun)

Blue Tit: Resident Breeding (common)

Blue Tits are a common and familiar sight and sound throughout the borough, in parks, woodlands, gardens, and anywhere else!. Several hundred pairs breed in the borough, and therefore listing the sightings would be a full time job.

Historical Information:
  • In the 1997 edition of Dominic Mitchells 'where to watch birds in the London area' it states that census work showed that there were 80 Breeding pairs in Hainault Forest
