Coot: Resident Breeding.

Coots are very common on most of the lakes and ponds in the borough with over 500 present. Around 50 pairs breed in the borough.

2010: Breeding:

  • first brood (2), Valentines Park - April 24th
  • 104 pairs were known to have bred in the borough

2010 Winter Stats: 596 (45 more than 2009, peak count at each site)
