Marsh Tits have bred in Hainault Forest, and may still be present, but recent records are lacking.

Latest Sightings:
  • 4th December 2008, 1 in Claybury Park
  • 15th April 2004, 1 in Hainault Forest
  • 8th March 2004, 1 in Hainault Forest

1997

  • In the 1997 edition of Dominic Mitchells 'where to watch birds in the London area' it states that Marsh Tits are nowhere commoner in the London area, than in Hainault Forest
