  • Little Egret flying over the A406, 6pm (DEH)

South Woodford, Station:

  • Great Spotted Woodpecker at 7am (Tony Brown)

Valentines Park:

  • the remaining Egyptian Goose ducking was being tended by 1 parent as the other was off forraging...
  • female Pochard (Mike Condon)
  • Little Grebe and 2 Great Crested Grebe (boating lake)
  • Grey Heron pair plus 2 chicks on the fishing lake
  • pair of Mute Swans still on nest (boating lake)
  • 14 Canada Geese on the Ornamental lake plus more at the baoting lake, 1 Greylag Goose (hybrid), Mallard (5 broods) , 15 Tufted Ducks, 23 Coot, 6 Moorhen,
  • Buzzard circling high above, towards Ilford Golf Course
  • 2 Black Headed Gulls
  • 40 Woodpigeons (including 1 on nest), 1 Collared Dove, Feral Pigeons,
  • 4 Swift,
  • 2 Pied Wagtail
  • Wren, 3 Robin, 11 Blackbird, 3 Mistle Thrush, Song Thrush,
  • 3 Great Tit, 3 Blue Tit, 4 Long Tailed Tits,
  • 16 Magpie, 40 Carrion Crows, 40 Starlings, 3 House Sparrows
  • 6 Chaffinch, 1 Goldfinch, Greenfinch (heard)

Wanstead Flats:

  • 32 Coots, 7 Moorhens, 3 Little Grebe, loads of Canada goslings on Alexandra Lake (THarris)

Wanstead Park:

  • 2 Mute Swans (one still on nest), 7 Mallards (including 2 ducklings), 10 Coot, 2 Moorhens, 4 Little Grebes on Shoulder of Mutton Pond
  • Perch Pond: Pair of Great Crested Grebes (THarris)
