Roding Valley Park, Woodford Bridge:
  • Kingfisher (inc. fishing and catching a fish),
  • Green Woodpecker (inc. bravely fighting off a much larger Magpie which tried to muscle in on its patch),
  • Goldfinch,
  • 2 Lesser Black Backed Gulls, 2 Pied Wagtails, flock of Long-tailed Tits
  • Little Egret,
  • Song Thrush (in song) (Alan Hobson)

Wanstead Flats:

  • 479 Woodpigeons flying south over Wanstead Flats in the period 7:40-8:10
  • Also, 20 Fieldfares flew out of Long Wood and headed south
  • 15 Meadow Pipits (Tim Harris)

Bush Wood:

  • on the west side of Bush Wood, a Goldfinch in full song. (Tim Harris)

Woodford Green:

  • more than 4 Pied Wagtails on Broadmead Estate this lunchtime (usually only 2)

Goodmayes Park:

  • 2 Mute Swan, c60 Canada Geese, 22 Greylag Geese, c30 Mallard,
  • 18 Tufted Duck, 4 Shoveler, c30 Coot, c10 Moorhen
  • Pied Wagtail
  • 2 Blue Tits, 2 Long Tailed Tits, 2 Great Tits,
  • several Goldfinches
  • 5+ Collared Doves on the Island
  • c50-100 Black Headed Gulls, 2 adult Herring Gulls
  • at least 10 Rats!
