Wanstead Flats:

• A Snipe was released on Wanstead Flats this morning, after being found in the living room of a Leytonstone house this morning! It flew into the house through an open door, and then frantically flew around the house until the owner managed to catch it and 'box' it, where it calmed down, and remained until it was released. Valentines Park:

• flock of about 8 Greenfinch in the tall trees by Valetines Mansion
• c70 Mallard on Long Water/Fish Pond.
• c10 Tufted Duck and 5 Shoveler on the Fish Pond (also the 'ornamental/pet' ducks that presented were 4 Mandarin, 6 Wood Duck, 3 Muscovy Duck)
  
• Grey Heron on the Island

Hainault Forest CP:

• 38 Shoveler, 8 Tufted Duck, Pochard, 72 Canada Geese,
  
• 2 Cormorants, 4 Mute Swan, 30 Mallard, 12 Moorhen, 5 Coot,
  
• 50 Black Headed Gulls, 2 Common Gulls,
  
• 2 Great Crested Grebes,
  
• Blackbird, Blue Tit, 10 Redwing, 10 Fieldfare (CIS)

Epping Forest, Strawberry Hill Pond: (just outside the borough)

• Firecrest, Goldcrest
