- south of chigwell road: Tufted Duck [very rare on this stretch of the river], Song Thrush, Great Spotted Woodpecker, Long-tailed Tit, at least 3 Common Gulls, at least 3 Greenfinches, (AHobson)
Wanstead Flats:
- 4 Woodlark (north along centre road and then on over SSSI c.09:00), 16 Skylark (west, bar 1 on Jub),
- 41 Lapwing (south c. 15:32),
- Snipe flew on to Alex,
- 7 Reed Bunting (SSSI), 6 Goldfinch, 7 Chaffinch, 5 Greenfinch, 6 Fieldfare (n), 3 Redwing, 2 Song Thrush (s),
- Goldcrest,
- Sparrowhawk, Cormorant.
- Jubilee still virtually all frozen but still accommodating 9 Mute Swan, 2 Mallard, 20 Canadas, 3 Coot and attending Common and BH Gull. Bit more of a squeeze at Alex where 100+ geese, 50+ Coot, 15 Mallard, 4 Shoveler, 15 + Moorhen and Gulls are playing sardines (36sp NC oh! and patch tick tick)
Wanstead Park:
- 5 Snipe (2 R Roding, 2 Dell, 1 Res Wood),
- 13 Little Grebe (6 Roding, 6 Heronry, 1 Ornamental Water),
- 1 Water Rail (Roding),
