- Garden Sightings: Today there were a pair of greater-spotted woodpeckers on the feeders and appeared to be drumming and displaying in the trees (let's hope for the patter of little beaks later in the year),
- individual sightings and those of green woodpeckers are quite frequent.
- A Grey heron is a regular fly over, seen most days.
- We still get up to seven goldfinches regularly and two pairs of chaffinches.

- c20 Waxwing (first time I've ever seen them!) in trees between Cambridge Rd + Chestnut Drive, Wanstead...they were feeding on the berries on a bush at the back of where I work, I've been keeping my eye on that all winter waiting for the Waxwings to find it! They were there around 8am but gone now. Still some berries left though so perhaps they'll come back again. Sadly no good photos/vids as the sun was rising behind them. (ACourtney)

- South Woodford Section: 1 Little Egret - first sighting this year,
- 1 Male Kestrel - usual one displaying to a (I think) female soaring much higher up.
- 1 other bird of prey - a falcon, only a very brief view. Seen in the same area I saw a peregrine at the start of the year...
- 1 Grey Wagtail.
- Also: usual Mallards, Moorhens, Crows, Magpies, Woodpigeon, mixed tits, Blackbirds, Robins, Wrens, starlings.
- No sign of the Fieldfares or Redwings but perhaps not surprising given that the birds of prey (Peter Gordon)
