Just to say all was the same with the Grebes today. The two adults were swimming about together and eventually- after going twice round the Boating Lake searching for him- I spotted the (lonesome!) chick swimming by himself and still endlessly cheeping to no avail! The Cormorant was back on one of the boats and the Heron was back on the island. Little Grebes and Pochards also in evidence
