- 6 Teal, 10 Pochard, 10+ Tufted Duck, 3 broods of Little Grebe
- c70 Lapwing, 13 Green Sandpiper, 4 Common Sandpiper,
- c20 Stock Dove
- c10 Grey Heron
- 2 Swallow
- Sedge Warbler, Reed Warbler, Whitethroat, male Blackcap
- fledged Wren family chicks, fledged Dunnock, Linnet
Newbury Park:
- Red Kite (pm) circling on a thermus, over Barley Lane and Aldborough Road South (EFreedman)
Roding Valley Park, central:
- 2 Sparrowhawk, good views of the male. The other may have been a juvenile, but only saw it fleetingly. Very interestingly, they were calling to each other - Sparrowhawks are normally silent.
- Also Green Woodpecker, Herring Gull, Lesser Black Backed Gull, Long Tailed Tit (AHobson)
Wanstead Flats & Park:
- Hobby (over Heronry 09:30), 2 Kestrel, 3 Sparrowhawk (+ 2 vocal juveniles SoM),
- c.50+ Black-headed Gull, 12 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 7 Herring Gull (4 juv),
- 30+ Whitethroat (Long Wood and SSI), Chiffhcaff, Blackcap (South of Heronry),
- parties of Long-tailed Tit in Long Wood, by Jubilee Pond, Bush Wood and N/S of Heronry,
- Little Grebe (family of 4 chicks on Heronry, 2 Shoulder of Mutton), Great Crested Grebe (Heronry), Swallow (west over Alexandra Lake), House Martin over Heronry, 2 Tufted Duck (Alexandra Lake), Goldfinch, Greenfinch, Mistle Thrush, 8 Greater Spotted Woodpecker, 7 Green Woodpecker, 3 Ring -necked Parakeet, and not very much of the usuals (No signs of any Skylark or Meadow Pipit on the flats) (NCroft)
