Will we find more than 2010's peak count of 27 singing skylarks?
I am hosting a guided birding walk on Hainault Farm from 10am-12midday this coming Saturday morning.
The farmland around Hainault is very under-birded, and we do not have much knowledge about what birdlife is present there... what we do know is that last year there were at least 27 singing male Skylarks!
Merlin, Buzzard, Kestrel, Meadow Pipit, Linnet, Stock Dove, Red Legged Partridge, Rook and Pheasant have all recently been recorded there too, and last Autumn Whinchat and Wheatear where present.
Please come along this Saturday morning at 10am for a fact-finding BIRDING WALK around the farmland between Hainault Road and Romford Road... I wonder what we will see?
£1 charge to continue fundraising for the London Birdwatching Project/RSPB
Booking is essential, so to find out the meeting place, please email on redbridgebirdwatching@hotmail.co.uk or text/call 07862 140777
(for non-drivers, I would be happy to pick you up from Fairlop Tube Station or Barkingside Bus Stops)
