Five Oaks Lane Scrubland:
- went after work to try to verify my suspicions that the Five Oaks Lane scrubland is as good as Fairlop or Wanstead Flats for migrating birds... after all, last week I had 2 Spot Fly, 3 Whinchat and a Wheatear on 1 day, and i had had 2 imm Redstart last month. However, it was so windy, i hardly saw a thing... (except)
- 9 Jackdaws over (NE) to roost
- 1 young Pheasant flushed
- 2 Kestrel both trying to hover in the strong winds
- 3 Mistle Thrush flying north
- Blue Tit, Goldfinch, Chiffchaff (heard)
- 3 Swallow doing their best to feed by the stables
Fairlop Gravel Works:
- Greenshank (Alan Bell)
Valentines Park:
- Mute Swan pr still with all 8 cygnets (becoming independant)
- 3 Great Crested Grebe, Little Grebe (GWare)
Wanstead Flats:

- 8+ Chiffchaff, 4+ Whitethroat, Lesser Whitethroat, Blackcap,
- 8 Mistle Thrush,
- 5 House Martin (4 North), 1 Swallow,
