Roding Valley Park, central:
- area south of Chigwell Road, Woodford Bridge, and adjoining playing fields
- 4 Song Thrushes [and a fifth singing], 2 Great Spotted Woodpeckers, 6 Swifts, Goldfinch
- Lesser Black Backed Gull, Herring Gull, Black Headed Gulls (on the playing fields nearby)
- Common Tern at the private fishing lake, (great views of it catching a fish right in front of me) (Alan Hobson)
Wanstead Flats:
- (07:00-08:30)
- 22 Black-headed Gull, 8 Lesser Black-backed Gull, 1 Herring Gull, 1 Common Gull,
- 8 Ring-necked Parakeet,
- 6 Cormorant and not much else.
- Came back at 10:00 12 Cormorant, 1 Ring Necked Parakeet, 30 (2 juv) BH Gull roosting,
- 10 + House Martin and finally 4 Swift - 39sp (Nick Croft).
Wanstead Park:
- (08:30-10:00):
- Little Egret (E over Heronry),
- 2 Pochard (m&f on SoM), 13 Tufted Duck (4 SoM, 2 Her, 7 Perch),
- Moorhen with 4 chicks on Heronry,
- 3 Little Grebe, 1 Great Crested Grebe (ornamental waters),
- Stock Dove, Collared Dove, 7 Ring-Necked Parakeet,
- 10+ House Martin, 6 Swift,
- singing Garden Warbler, Blackcap, Chiffchaff and a Terrapin attempting to lay eggs and about to be impounded by the Park Authorities by Perch. 39 sp. Tomorrow will be mega!! (Nick Croft).:
