- Re: Grey Heron nest - We definitely have at least one chick in Heron nest, can't tell if there are more yet, but they normally lay 3 - 5 eggs. Adult bird tried to feed junior a 5" Goldfish to no avail, and ended up swallowing it, either to partly digest and regurgitate later, or less likely, return it to it's former owner! (PHopkins)
