- 'The Basin' was about 75% frozen, but in the available water there were Mute Swans, a Canada Goose, plenty of Mallard, Tufted Duck, Coot, Moorhen and Pochard, a few Shoveler and Gadwall and 4 Little Grebes! (DEH)
- Solitary Grey Heron and Cormorants flew over. (DEH)
- Goldcrest, Chaffinch, Blue Tit, Great Tit, Long Tailed Tit, Robin and Wren seen around the edges of the Basin, and at least 3 Greater Spotted Woodpeckers. (DEH)
- Between the Basin and St. Mary's Church there was a small flock of Redwing, less than 20. (DEH)
- Jays, Jackdaws, Magpies and Carrion Crows all making a lot of noise in the large trees. (DEH)
- Around St. Mary's Churchyard there was a Greenfinch and at least 2 Nuthatches. (DEH)
- Also saw LBBGull, BHGull, Wood Pigeon, Collared Dove, Mistle Thrush, Starling. (DEH)
- 162 Canada Geese by Alexandra Lake, with Mute Swans, Shoveler, Mallard and over 200 Feral Pigeons. (DEH)
- 2 Pied Wagtails around the 'shore' of Alexandra Lake (DEH) also 1 at Jubilee Pond (JL)
- 100s of Gulls on the flats, most of which were Common Gulls.
- 6 Skylark, 2 Meadow Pipit, Dunnock and 2 Green Woodpeckers on Wanstead Flats. (JL)
- Grey Heron flying over the Flats, near Centre Road. (JL)
South Woodford:
- Firecrest seen opposite St. Aubyns School (DBa)
