- (brief skoot round the ponds): 5 Little Grebe (4 Heronry), Great Crested Grebe (perch), 32 Pochard (28 Heronry, 1 Perch, 3 Shoulder of Mutton), 1 Shoveler (SoM), 27 Tufted Duck (24 Heronry, 3 Perch), 8 Gadwall (Perch), Heron, 5 + Goldcrest, 5 Siskin, 10 Goldfinch, 2 Greenfinch, 2 Redwing, 6 Fieldfare, Coal Tit (NC).
Wanstead, garden:
- Wanstead, my garden (07:30-10:00): 6-8 Waxwing over west at 8.30am; also 150+ Starling, 200+ Fieldfare, 120+ Redwing, 1 Mistle Thrush, 80+ Chaffinch. 20+ Greenfinch, 15 Goldfinch, 1 Brambling, - all headed west and north-west (J Lethbridge).
