Roding Valley Park:
- the northern section, from Woodford Bridge, to Luxborough Lane (although the last 100 yards were not accessable due to flooding.)
- 12 Mallard and 12 Moorhen.
- 1 beautiful Grey Wagtail, and 2 Snipe along the riverbank
- finchfest: 1 Chaffinch, 7 Goldfinch, 1 Greenfinch and 18 Lesser Redpoll in the trees along the river...and...
- 3 Brambling near the Thames Water Treatment Works, also 3 Pheasant there and a Green Woodpecker.
- 3 Fieldfare and a Redwing (over) and another 10 Redwing around a frozen puddle.
- two separate parties of Long Tailed Tits, with 8 in each... Also, Blue Tits and Great Tits a plenty.
- Common Gulls and Black Headed Gulls on the playing fields opposite
- 2 Mistle Thrushes, 1 Song Thrush, Blackbird, Robin, Wren, Dunnock, Magpies, Carrion Crow, Jay and Wood Pigeon complete the tally.
- 10+ Little Grebe, 6 Canada Geese, 4 Mute Swan, 16 Shoveler, 40+ Gadwall, 50+ Tufted Duck & 18 Pochard, also hybrid Gadwall x something. (JL)
- pr Red-Crested Pochard still present!
- Meadow Pipit, 6 Song Thrush, 2 Mistle Thrush, Chaffinch. Flooded alongside River Roding (JL)
