- Stock Dove, Great Spotted Woodpecker (Alan Hobson)
- Garden Sightings: Today there were a pair of greater-spotted woodpeckers on the feeders and appeared to be drumming and displaying in the trees (let's hope for the patter of little beaks later in the year),
- individual sightings and those of green woodpeckers are quite frequent.
- A Grey heron is a regular fly over, seen most days.
- We still get up to seven goldfinches regularly and two pairs of chaffinches.
- Sightings of wrens are also becoming more frequent. (Eddie Barnes)
- Jay, 2 Long-tailed Tits (Alan Hobson)
- 1 grey heron flying low over the house at 9am with lots of wing feathers missing
- 2 goldfinch (second sighting in a week)
- 2 Long tailed tits (also saw them over the weekend) first time in the garden for 2 years
- Flock of c20 waxwing - about 20 at a very rough guess.
- Sparrows and Starlings squabbling on a neighbour's roof - presumably over a nesting site.
- And a blue tit is hanging around the nest box again...(Peter Gordon)
